Results
As part of the fundamental and applied projects implementation, small-section cylindrical ingots continuous casting theoretical foundations were developed, computer modeling unique methods and corresponding process modes calculation were developed, laboratory, pilot-industrial and industrial equipment for casting in an electromagnetic crystallizer was designed and created. Aluminum-based alloys pilot samples with new properties and a previously unavailable composition have been produced, and industrial production has begun. A number of projects have been conducted to further refine the resulting samples and semi-finished products, right up to the final products. Products cast in electromagnetic crystallizers are of interest to the cable, aviation, shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, and other industries.
